The Comprehensive Roadmap for the Electric Vehicle Industry (CREVI) is the Philippines' strategic plan to accelerate the development, commercialization, and adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) nationwide. Mandated by the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA) or Republic Act No. 11697, enacted on April 15, 2022, CREVI aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance energy security, and promote sustainable transportation. doe.gov.ph

CREVI also addresses challenges such as market development barriers, the need for a supportive policy environment, and the importance of public and private sector collaboration to achieve its objectives.

By implementing CREVI, the Philippines seeks to transition towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient transportation sector, aligning with global efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability.
