One Year Later: How Relevant Is the EV Fast-Charging Conversation for Asia?

A year ago today, at the ReFuel Forum USA 2025 in Dallas, I had the opportunity to sit down with Electric Era Technologies and discuss the future of EV fast charging.
At the time, our conversation focused on a simple but important question:
Could innovative EV fast-charging technology developed in the U.S. have meaningful opportunities in Asia Pacific?
One year later, that question feels even more relevant.
Across Asia, the conversation around mobility is moving beyond EV adoption toward the infrastructure needed to support it - fast charging, grid capacity, energy storage, retail integration, fleet electrification, and the overall customer experience.
For markets like the Philippines and Southeast Asia, the opportunity is particularly interesting. The challenge is not simply putting more chargers on the ground. It is developing charging infrastructure that can be:
Reliable. Scalable. Economically viable. And integrated into the places where people already live, work, shop and travel.
That is why our discussion with Electric Era continues to resonate.
Their approach to combining EV fast charging, energy storage and intelligent energy management raises an important question for Asia:
How do we build the charging infrastructure of tomorrow without simply replicating the infrastructure model of today?
For RXS Meta Group, this is where technology meets opportunity.
Our interest is not only in EV chargers. It is in exploring how mobility + energy + AI + smart infrastructure + ESGcan come together to create new solutions for businesses and communities across Asia Pacific.
A conversation that started in Dallas one year ago may have relevance far beyond Dallas.
From Dallas to Asia. From EV charging to energy transformation. From a conversation to possibilities.
Looking forward to continuing the dialogue with Electric Era Technologies and exploring what the next chapter could look like in Asia Pacific.
