Only 11% blamed the technology.

A 7-to-1 verdict. And here's the detail most coverage missed: 99% of these same executives say their governance standards support their AI ambitions - yet governance processes rank among their top three bottlenecks. They are confident and constrained at the same time.

The boards that win the next three years won't be the ones with the biggest AI budgets. They'll be the ones that did the unglamorous work of rewiring their people, processes, and data before the technology arrived.
